14 random facts about me.

Hi dear readers! How are you all doing? Today is a special day for me since I'm blessed to see a new year. Yes! It's my birthday. A particular one, cause I'm writing this post from Xi'an where I'm in quarantine because I just went back to China two days ago. I'll tell you more about that in a next post. But today, I want to share with you 14 random facts about me, in order for you to get to know me a bit better. Thanks for joining me, here we go!

• What is my name?

My name is Mouniirah (yes with 2i and h at the end). Mouniirah is pronounced the same way as Mounira or Munira. It's an Arabic name (منيرة) which means it's shining, guiding or shining light. (By the way, thanks Dad and Mom. I'm really proud of it).

• What is my nickname?

I got a lot of nicknames depending on the person who used it, but the most popular are these 3 one:

1. Mouni: (The most common) Just a cute abbreviation of my name.

2. Mouni Late: Generally used by my high school friends. It's a combination of Mouniirah + Late and short form (Mouniirah who's always late lol) Cause yes! I was almost every time late.

3. La fée: (The oldest one) La fée is generally used by my family member such as my aunt, father, and mother (rarely). It's a nickname I got when I was a little younger and uh.. I don't really remember why they called me that way, but I find it quite cute.

• Where am I from?

I come from Burkina Faso. A small 274.000 km2 country in West Africa. I was born in the capital Ouagadougou, where I spent the great part of my life.

• Introvert or Extrovert?

According to the Myers-Brigger Personality Type, I took over 5 times and (always) got the same result. I'm an introvert and precisely an INFJ-T (Advocate).

• What are my hobbies?

On top of the list, it's surely listening to music. Followed by dancing, reading, writing, travelling and photography.

• Who are my most listened to artists?

My 10 most listened to artists (in 2022) are Joé Dwèt Filé, Burna Boy, Marilia Mendoça, Ya Levis, Sam Smith, TEEKS, Jacob Banks, Cysoul, Maher Zain, Sami Yusuf.

• What was my favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject when I was in high school was all foreign languages courses (English, German) and Chemistry. And those I hated the most were Mathematics and Sport lol.

• What is my favorite sport?

My favorite sports are Volley Ball, and tennis (even if I haven't practiced it yet).

• What is my favorite childhood memory?

My favorite childhood memory is our family trip to Lomé (in 2010).

• What is my favourite animal and why?

Until this year, I always told that my favorite animals were cats. Since I find them cute and as me, quiet. But! I changed my mind lol and what I'm about to say will probably shock some of you haha. My favourite animals are dogs, because they are faithful, and far more friendly that cats. (But not every dog uh.)

• What are my top 5 life values?

My top 5 life values are: Respect, Resilience, Gratitude, Reciprocity and Self-Discipline.

• What is my proudest accomplishment?

I really hesitate between the creation of my blog and my avocado plants. But I'll choose the second one since it has been over than 2 years that I started trying to grow avocado plants. I tried more that 10 times and I always failed. I even gave up on the way, but I told myself that this year I WILL succeed. So I kept trying, and thanks to a method my mom showed me, I finally did it. My first plant is now almost 6 months old, and I choose to name it PERSEVERANCE.

• What is my motto?

My motto until now was Live a live that matters. Either for me or for the people I love. But I think that Live a life I'm be proud of is most accurate. Since, my happiness is still partly linked to my contribution to the live of others, but I don't forget that the first person I need to please is myself. And what I want is to be able to tell myself in my last moments: “yes! Now I can leave peacefully cos I lived a life I'm really proud of.”

• If I could save someone's life, but in order to do so, I would die. Who will it be?
